Walleye and yellow perch fish are also popular in this area. These kinds of fish, along with walleye, are also found in Drummond Island, which is also in Michigan.

There are other spots for northern pike ice fishing in Chippewa County. However, it is important to know that the types of fish that are common in lakes will differ. Northern pike is generally going to be found but other types of fish, like whitefish, will also be present.

The best tip for northern pike ice fishing in Michigan is to start looking for smaller lakes that can freeze quickly first while waiting for larger lakes to freeze up. It is best to follow this tip for your safety so that you do not go to a larger lake too soon.
